High Ropes Adventure 24 July

A bunch of us visited Fellowship Afloat’s centre at Tollesbury on 24 July for an evening on their high ropes course. It was a very rainy day but thankfully, not long after we arrived, the rain stopped (and it held off pretty well until we finished at 9!).

We started with loads of tasty pizza from Pizza Town in Tiptree, then we got into the harnesses and helmets ready for instruction. Though few of the 15 had been on high ropes, we were soon climbing or ‘belaying’ (holding the safety rope) for the climber.

Sam and the FACT team were great, instructing and encouraging us well. Everyone was able to find their own challenge, and no-one was pushed to go further than they were comfortable with. Thank you Sam and team for a great evening!

Here’s Tom jumping from the see-saw…
