Most Sundays, we get round a table, eat some very tasty food and spend quite a lot of time chatting. Usually about some of the important things in life – so there’s lots of listening too. Everyone can give an opinion and know that it will be respected, even if not necessarily agreed with.
At a time when it’s recognised that people are retreating to their like-minded cultural bubbles from where they lob insults at other bubbles, we think getting round a table to share food and share opinions in a convivial atmosphere is health-giving, life-giving and even healing.
We meet in various homes in the Colchester area, and on fourth Sundays at The Playhouse, St John Street. If you’d like to know more get in contact on 01206 622712, or for starters join us at our next Playhouse gathering on 26 May at 11.00.
Of course, you can do this at home too! Why not make your home a place of enjoyable conversation and hospitality? Invite your friends, your neighbours! If you do, we’d love to hear about it!
